ATV crash on Klutina Lake trail kills teen

GLENNALLEN -- An 18-year-old from Texas died Sunday in an ATV crash near Glennallen.
Jesse Rathbun of Ovalo, Texas, became trapped under a four-wheeler at Mile 8 of
the Klutina Lake trail just before 12:30 p.m., Alaska State Troopers said.
Initial reports were that Rathbun was driving a Suzuki ATV and crashed after trying
to make a turn on the dirt road. He was declared dead at the scene. He was not wearing
a helmet.
